Install windows 10 using bootable pendrive in laptop or desktop. To install windows 10 you need to make a bootable pendrive using minimun 8GB pendrive, windows 10 ISO file and Rufus software.

 

Step to install windows 10 using bootable pendrive in laptop or desktop:

  • Hard Drive Format Check.
  • Windows 10 Download.
  • Rufus Download.
  • Make Bootable Pendrive.
  • Install Windows 10.

 

Hard Drive Format Check:

You need to check your device hard disk format (GPT or MBR) before install windows 10 to any laptop or desktop using bootable pendrive.

 

Open windows 10 cmd as a adminstration and diskpart command to use diskpart.

 

diskpart

 

Now run list disk command to see hard disk format type.

 

list disk

 

After successfully run list disk command you will see gpt column in your disk line (like disk 0, disk 1). If you see star (*) in your disk line gpt column then your hard disk format is GPT and If you can't see star (*) in your disk line gpt column then your hard disk format is MBR.

 

Windows 10 Download:

Download latest version of windows 10 ISO file from microsoft website and use it to make a bootable pendrive.

 

Rufus Download:

To make a bootable pendrive download latest version of rufus software from rufus website.

 

Make Bootable Pendrive:

Connect a minimum 8GB empty pendrive to your laptop or desktop to make a bootable pendrive for GPT or MBR hard disk.

 

Open Rufus software and select the windows 10 ISO file from download location.

 

If the windows ISO file contains files larger than 4GB choose file system “NTFS” Otherwise choose file system "FAT32".

 

For GPT partition select Partition Scheme “GPT” and Target System “UEFI (non CSM)”.

 

For MBR partition select Partition Scheme “MBR” and Target System “BIOS or UEFI”.

 

You can edit volume label as a " windows 10 bootable pendrive'.

 

Now click on the “start" button to make a bootable pendrive to install windows 10 on the GPT or MBR disk.

 

After successfully completed bootable pendrive you can easily install windows 10 on your laptop or desktop.

 

Install Windows 10:

After successfully completed bootable pendrive close rufus software and disconnect bootable pendrive.

 

Next connect again and restart your laptop or desktop. While restarting click on the “ESC” (for HP) button to open boot confirmation seceen.

 

Next click on “F9” button and choose your bootable pendrive.

 

You may use “F10” button to change boot configuration for legacy and security.

 

If you get the windows setup page then click “next” and click “install” after clicking next button.

 

I hope windows 10 will install successfully on your laptop or desktop using bootable pendrive.

 

If you get any errors message while install windows 10 then check your hard disk and make bootable pendrive again as per your disk format type and partition.
